President – Felicia Morley

President Felicia MorleyFelicia Morley became the president – elect of MoDLA in July of 2015.  Due to a resignation, she will serve as the president for the terms of 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.

She has been the instructional designer, technology coordinator and Blackboard Certified Trainer for Missouri Southern State University in Joplin since 2012. She also serves as a member of the Distance Learning Advisory Committee for the university.

Her current roles include training faculty to teach and develop in Blackboard as well as assisting faculty with instructional design for online courses. She provides coordinator services for faculty wanting to incorporate technology into their online, on ground or face to face courses. Felicia has a passion for educational technology and distance learning. She obtained both of her graduate degrees online and is a passionate advocate for distance learning and online educational opportunities.

Before working at MSSU, Felicia worked for the School of Technology at the University of Central Missouri. Her job duties included website and social media coordination, curriculum coordination and managing the Cisco Network Academy Lab. She has also worked as marketing director, a web/graphic designer and a research analyst on a grant funded Outcomes Performance Project for the Missouri Department of Mental Health.

Felicia  received a B.S. in Psychology from Missouri Southern State University in 1997 and a M.S. in Educational Technology  from the University of Central Missouri in 2011. She will graduate with her Ed.S in Educational Technology from the University of Central Missouri in May of 2016.  She plans to pursue an online doctorate in Educational Technology in the fall of 2016.
